What a phenomenal boat...albeit mine has seen the harder side of tournament running. She is a beautiful boat. I love her lines and rich teak and the quality in craftsmanship you just don't see in later model boats in the $5k range. I've been told this 78 20' Robalo CC with a 91 Johnson 200 is a great first boat! She came with an '06 dual axle in great shape. She's got great compression on all cylinders and many upgrades. I had to have the carbs rebuilt and have had some shifting and planing issues that are still in the works but I'm not discouraged. I'm hooked. These boats are great and I'm looking forward to learning about others here and their prized boats new and old.

When I bought this boat I knew it was a diamond in the rough. The lines are great and that teak! Oh love the teak but man was it trashed and looked like it needed replaced. The teak was incredibly dirty and dried out. I was considering costs for redoing it all! OUCH! Instead I took it down to the car wash and pressure washed it. Before my eyes this wood came back to life. It was like night and day. I oiled it and gave it a little TLC. Here is a pic after the first coat of teak oil.

On the teak check out my album.
I have been using HONEY TEAK by Signature Paint. and it is a GREAT product. I use to every 18 months sand down all my teak and put on 12-13 coats of varnish (a coat a day and lightly scuffing it every time but the last coat) but with the Honey Teak I put on 3 teak stain and 3-4 clear coats of the 3 part epoxy paint all in one day after sanding it with 120 sand paper the day before and blow it off and tack rag it right before painting.
Any questions just ask as I want you to take her out make a memorie. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
