mark g
Well, after a few years, it’s great to be back in the Robalo family! We now have a 32 Luhrs Tournament 320 that we like to keep super clean so we needed a boat to fish from. I had a 15 Whaler for a few years that got sold to fund this venture. she’s a 1987 2520 in pretty decent shape. Transom and floors are solid and the glass tank is good so I’ve got cosmetics to dial in and there’s the small matter of there being no engines on the transom. The cleaning began today; after sitting for a few months in a shady spot, there was plenty of mildew to deal with. So far so good…. I’ll get the rest of the cleaning done this week and then begin to remove the old rigging in preparation for the twin 225 Optimaxes that will be hung in the next few weeks. I’ll continue to update here as I progress!
2-N-TOW
Nice looking rig! Did you say it has a fiberglass tank??? If so, need to check when was it manufactured. If that is the orignal tank and made with polyester resin, ethanol fuel will slowly dissolve the resin and it will clog the fuel filter. It should’ve said GAS tank
mark g
A little more progress this week…. A set of 225 Optimaxes & associated rigging has been procured. The motors are at a marina and will be hung by them once I rig the hull…. I’ll share some photos & details of the process once I get some decent weather tomorrow to do some work
